I am thrilled to have been invited by the North Island College 4th year Bachelor of Nursing students to give a public talk to the Comox Valley community on the topic of trans-inclusion in health care. I’ll be discussing who trans people are, providing an overview of trans people’s health care needs and exploring some of the barriers and obstacles that trans people experience in accessing health care services.

The next day, I’ll be holding a workshop with the 4th year Bachelor of Nursing students, so we can deepen the conversation about how to provide trans people with inclusive, welcoming, safer and competent care in all kinds of clinical settings.

Admission is free! Doors open at 6:30, the talk will start promptly at 7. Looking forward to seeing you there!
