I will be facilitating a workshop on creating trans-inclusive abortion services at the 2020 National Abortion Federation Conference. Modelled after the manual and online learning module on this topic, this workshop will include discussion of fictionalized, problem-based case scenarios featuring trans and non-binary people accessing abortion services. Discussion will involve identifying and strategizing ways to mitigate the barriers that trans people face in accessing competent abortion care. Participants will be invited to reflect on and assess the trans-inclusivity of their own workplace and develop skills applicable to their specific role within their workplace.
